As our operations continue to expand across Brazil, we're seeking an accomplished Head of Operations – Brazil to provide strategic leadership across our project development and operational portfolio.
This executive leadership role reports directly to the CEO – Brazil and serves as the senior operational leader responsible for transforming exploration success into world-class mining operations. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams through project development, construction, commissioning, and operations while driving commercial performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth.

What You'll Do
As our Head of Operations, you will:
✅ Lead all Brazilian operational activities, from project development through construction, commissioning, and mining operations.
✅ Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Rivaz Resources' long-term corporate objectives.
✅ Oversee reserve definition, feasibility studies, permitting, mine development, processing, and refining activities.
✅ Manage operational budgets, forecasts, capital expenditure, and commercial performance.
✅ Build, mentor, and lead high-performing multidisciplinary operational teams.
✅ Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, productivity initiatives, and business performance programs.
✅ Lead technical and commercial due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, and new project opportunities.
✅ Build strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, landowners, local communities, investors, and strategic partners.
✅ Ensure compliance with Brazilian mining legislation, environmental approvals, permitting requirements, and company governance standards.
✅ Develop a strong culture of Health, Safety, Environment & Community (HSEC) leadership across all operations.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an accomplished mining executive who brings:
✔ Fluency in English and Portuguese, with the ability to communicate effectively across multinational teams.
✔ 15–20+ years of leadership experience within mining, project development, or natural resources.
✔ Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across exploration, drilling, resource definition, project development, construction, commissioning, and mining operations.
✔ Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across exploration, project development, construction, and mining operations.
✔ Proven success managing large operational and capital budgets.
✔ Strong commercial acumen with experience in strategic planning, project evaluation, and business development.
✔ Comprehensive understanding of Brazilian mining legislation, environmental permitting, tenement management, licensing requirements, HSE compliance, and regulatory frameworks governing exploration and mining operations
Highly Desirable
Experience within lithium, battery minerals, critical minerals, or hard-rock mining.
Experience leading projects through feasibility, development, construction, and production.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
Strong understanding of mining project economics, resource development, and operational optimization.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, project evaluations, or strategic growth initiatives.
