What You'll Do
As our Drilling Manager, you will:
✅ Lead and oversee all drilling operations across multiple exploration projects throughout Brazil
✅ Develop drilling strategies aligned with exploration objectives and resource definition programs
✅ Plan, schedule, and manage diamond, RC, and other exploration drilling campaigns
✅ Lead drilling supervisors, contractors, and field teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations
✅ Manage drilling budgets, contractor performance, procurement, and operational logistics
✅ Monitor drilling productivity through key performance indicators including penetration rates, core recovery, metres drilled, and non-productive time
✅ Ensure QA/QC procedures, sample integrity, chain of custody, and drilling data quality are maintained to the highest standard
✅ Partner closely with Geology, HSE, Tenement, and Exploration teams to ensure drilling programs achieve technical objectives
✅ Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and recommendations for senior leadership
✅ Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and Zero Harm
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a leader with:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline
10+ years of mineral exploration drilling experience, including significant leadership responsibility
Demonstrated experience managing multiple drilling campaigns and contractors
Strong knowledge of diamond and RC drilling methods and exploration best practices
Experience managing drilling budgets, logistics, and operational performance
Strong understanding of QA/QC, drilling databases, and geological data management
Knowledge of Brazilian mining legislation, environmental regulations, and HSE requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and contractor management skills
Portuguese required; English proficiency is highly regarded
